Podere Corvaia has its origins in the 1700s, located in the municipality of Radicofani in Val d’Orcia, it was a resting place for travelers and their horses, who were going up the Cassia road and wanted to reach Radicofani. Today, as then, Corvaia wants to be a rest and refreshment destination for all those who wish to totally immerse themselves in the tranquility of this Agrigurismo surrounded by nature.
Since 2004, Val d’Orcia has been part of the Italian UNESCO heritage sites. The landscape of the Val D’Orcia was celebrated by the painters of the Sienese School, which flourished in the Renaissance. Images of the Val D’Orcia, and particularly descriptions of landscapes in which people are portrayed as living in harmony with nature, became icons of the Renaissance and profoundly influenced the development of landscape philosophy.
